OpenID access to Dreamwidth

Livejournal users can use their Livejournal identities to log into Dreamwidth through this page. The process sends you back to Livejournal's site to verify your LJ cookies; then it allows you to create a sort of lightweight account that can't publish journal entries but can set up a "reading page" (their equivalent to a friends list), write comments, and so on. Importantly, people with regular accounts can grant read-locked-entries access to OpenID accounts, so you can use it to keep reading the locked entries on your friends' journals even if they migrate to Dreamwidth and you don't.

I'm mentioning this here because at the moment I only have two readers, there aren't likely to be many more of my friends making it onto the system with full accounts until May, and I crave attention. :-)

A good land and a large

I got invited, and created an account on Dreamwidth. I'm not sure yet exactly how I'll use it; right now I think it's likely that I'll be both locking all my postings, and more selective about who I let read them than I was on Livejournal. I haven't posted anything there yet at all. But, anyway, it exists.

I've finished deleting all my old entries from this account. I don't plan to post new ones. I'll keep the account alive and will probably read my friends' journals, so you're welcome to leave me on your friends list if you'll be posting things you want me to be able to read. You shouldn't depend on my reading your postings, though.

The best way to contact me is by email, mskala@ansuz.sooke.bc.ca. I can be found in my usual IRC channels if you know them. If you want to read public updates on what's going on in my life, read my website, which is syndicated as lebwog_feed. A limited amount of the kind of personal stuff I used to post in friends-only entries on Livejournal, is now available through my Facebook updates. That's a more public forum, though, and as such the material I post there is more guarded.
